![]() ![]() It's so frustrating when you look at the statistical breakdown that the game provides to you and the game says "chance of being unscathed, 11.6%" and you follow through with the attack only for the enemy to come out unscathed 4 times in a row. ![]() I understand statistics and how people can psychologically only remember the bad times and not the times where RNG went in their favor.īut this game still leaves you with that feeling that "the computer is a cheating bastard" I am fully aware of the psychologic implications. The big thing I was complaining about though was the hit/miss %. if you wait for them to come to you, it only gives their slower units time to catch up.Īnother thing the computer likes to do is line up several units outside my movement range and then send a single unit in as bait and if I surround it, then I get surrounded by all the other units. I get all my guys out and set up and everything and the computer will calculate and look at your movement range and will often have a better range than you because of the terrain being in their favor and will always end their movement 1 hex outside your movement range and then rush you on the next turn. I've literally counted over 40-50 enemy units on the map at once and they all frigging blitz you. Like I spend an entire round moving every unit I own in order to eliminate 2-3 of their units and then it's their turn and 1,2,3,4,5, more units pop out of the enemy headquarters. and then throughout the level they constantly keep summoning more, like Gauntlet. like there will be 4 enemy generals on the map and on the first turn, each one summons 6 units, and then in the next turn they all summon 6 more units. Many of the levels have you vastly outnumbered by superior forces. the scenario was that one "heir to the throne", the one with li'sar in it. I was playing on the "normal" difficulty. Many scenarios don't really offer you much choice in tactical decisions. ![]() I dunno what you mean by "stupid decisions". I still stand by my opinion that you can get totally screwed by the RNG. many times, I end up sacrificing level 1's just to keep my veterans from dying. I just had to accept that was how the game is designed.you can't complete a scenario without casualties, all you can do is try to minimize those casualties. One reason I was frustrated wasn't so much that I was losing the scenarios, but that I kept losing my veteran units and then having to resummon level 1's at the beginning of each scenario. Well, I confess that my first post was venting frustration without fully understanding the game mechanics If thats not your cup of tea you should try battletech. Do yourself a favor and just emulate some good old ps1 games that have better graphics as well as gameplay that makes this game look like a high school computer class project. Ive given this game about 3 different attempts, each lasting about 5-8, missions until I get tired of having to 5 v 1 units and still sometimes having a normal unit with the same stats as mine kill the whole squad while I have terrain bonus. I mean the first comment calls you stupid here with no real contructive hints, just bragging about how they play on hard, get over yourselves. This game does RNG quite poorly, which is a major reason this game has such a small following, with the other nails being an uppity attitude with anyone who complains about it. It does seem like you might have moved some units onto areas that give your opponents some bonuses, that said this games RND is ♥♥♥♥♥♥, I've played tons of different types of tactics games as well as war games. ![]()
